One of the neighbours plays the electric guitar. I consider trying to drown the noise in the much more threatening noise of my piano - the guitar is not one of my favourite instruments. But I eventually decide that I like it when people make music.
Maybe I long for proof that I'm not alone in the universe.
Ha, at least the guy plays a guitar. The guys upstairs and downstairs play the same sick songs everyday.
ReplyDeleteI tried to drown this with my Piano {Actually a synthesizer}.
Failed.
Then I tried my computer loaded with some choicy heavy metal {Stratovarius - Lord of the Rings}
Failed yet again.
At long last I tried my music player, with an amazing cd of Evanescence.
Drowned it for a moment, before I felt my house was falling apart. So failed.
And the people up and down have a pathetic taste in music.
But, yes. You can't help noticing when people like music...

ReplyDeleteYeah, i guess that the crazes of today do unsettle the more conservative musicians amongst us. Not that I'm any better when hammering on a Broadwood.
btw, what's ur piano? surely a Steinway would be an understatement!
And regarding trying everything once, well dear pianopoet, I'll await it. . .
I have a synthesizer too. A long time ago I had a real piano. When I get rich I will get a Steinway, of course.
