the meaning of winter

Decided to combat my anguished feeling of stress over all the things I need to do by postponing everything and write my Great Novel instead. So now I'm holing up with my laptop and loads of wine and ignoring the phone.

I mean, you are not really expected to do anything useful in winter anyway. Winter is for cuddling up.

The point in winter is to sleep pointlessly 'til about 9:00A.M. {When does the sun set there?and when does it rise? It rises at 6:00A.M in Winter, and sets at 5:15P.M here.} And pray what shall be your great novel about? Sweating it in Mercury?{BTW, Venus is way hotter than Mercury, Read:Greenhouse effect gone haywire}. You should play a lot of games on your laptop {Yes on. Play chess or something...}

Sleeping pointlessly, now that's my thing! THis time of the year the sun rises at 9 am and sets at 4.30 pm. So not much daylight to force your eyelids open...

My Great Novel shall be about adventure and absurdity and the strange ways of people... or something completely different. We'll see.

Ah...... Sleeping, I completely missed that one out. Thanks for pointing it out. {But the point here is that by the time my Exams end, it will be in the middle of summer.... booohoooo, the sun always wakes me up, Nights are short too short for starwatching, and its downright hot in this tropical country. Thank GOD I have an A.C}
Wish me luck as I won't be blogging for 47 days, I will be swotting.
Plus Happy Kalavela Day! {Erm... We Tolkienians are very much into everything Tolkien was into}
