post-it note for February

To stand up and be weird.
To dive, out of curiosity and boldness, into the depths that others shun on principle.
To let a yes be yes and a no be no.
To lift my eyes to the sky and laugh.
To throw, violently, off my shoulders all worries for what others may or may not think.
To love the icy winter rain.

To be me.

That's asking quite a lot of yourself. I wish you well.

I'd like to forget about what others think too and learn to like me.

Winter is beautiful in it's harshness, and the manner in which it sprays all your fears before you.

hmmmm. NOw I understand why you liked the last post on my blog....

It's a boon to forget about today until tomorrow, a boon that is granted too seldom alas. Oh, and this is the first of your poems that I've read. And I really liked it as much as your other posts.

Blog on . . . .

Being myself is a highly desired goal of mine, but oh so elusive sometimes...

Thank you Erin, be my guest!

I agree with LD. Asking for a lot. The world hates people who are themselves. The world needs leeches, hypocrites and apes.

Oh well, I am weird. Heh.

But should we give the world what it wants, dear Prince?

The world takes what it wants. Either one stays in the world - dons a mask to join the masquerade of life; or shuns the world (and vice-versa). Not that the latter is a great loss in some cases.

Alas, you can't have the cake, and eat it as well. I've tried.

But even in a masquerade, someone always takes off their mask. I really must find out what happens to that person.
